BGene is a start-up company of Université Joseph Fourier in the field of DNA engineering. BGene proposes efficient and custom-made modifications of bacterial genomes, leaving no scars or antibiotics resistance genes. The company has know-how and expertise at all stages of the development process, including the in-silico design of a desired construction, the choice of the appropriate genetic tools, and the delivery of the finished product. Former IBIS-member Caroline Ranquet and Johannes Geiselmann are co-founders of BGene, together with Marie-Gabrielle Jouan (Floralis, Université Joseph Fourier).
